Winter Winter Advisory
January 23, 2026
Kingsland Water Supply Corporation is asking all customers to make sure all exposed water pipes are wrapped and cover all outside faucets due to freezing weather predictions for the next few days. Frozen pipes lead to broken water lines which cause unnecessary leaks resulting in high water bills for the customer and costly plumbing repairs.
We recommend dripping faucets in your home during the time that temperatures are below freeezing. If you are going to be away from your home during the freezing weather turn off your water supply cut-off valve on your side of the water meter and open some faucets to drain the lines until you return. You may also want to turn off the power to your water heater if you turn off your water to prevent damage to your water heater.
Make sure to fill up some containers with water prior to the freeze for drinking or sanitary purposes. Predictions are calling for approximately 48 hours of below freezing weather, make sure to have enough water in reserve for this time, just in case.
Stay warm and remeber your pets need water and warmth too.
